is an essential software tool designed for engineering students and professionals to calculate thermodynamic properties without manually interpolating physical tables. What is CATT3?

After installation completes, launch CATT3 from the desktop shortcut or Start menu.

Hey everyone,

When searching for terms like "computer aided thermodynamic tables 3 download free" , you will encounter numerous third-party file-hosting websites, torrent trackers, and untrusted blogs. computer aided thermodynamic tables 3 download free

is a popular software tool designed to solve this exact problem. Originally created to accompany the textbook Fundamentals of Classical Thermodynamics

Many engineering programs provide CATT3 as a free resource for their students.

Maintained by NIST, these tables cover 47 elements and their compounds, providing key temperature‑dependent thermochemical properties including heat capacity, enthalpy, entropy, Gibbs free energy, and more. Available for free online access. is an essential software tool designed for engineering

While some third-party websites have mirrored the CATT3 installation file online, you should if you choose to download software from these unofficial sources. These files are not verified and could be bundled with unwanted programs or malware.

The developers of CATT3 released this tool for educational purposes. Ensure your use complies with your institution's academic integrity policy regarding software use on assignments.

If you cannot find CATT3, I highly recommend using CoolProp or Energy2D . They are free, open-source alternatives that perform similar property calculations for water, refrigerants, and other fluids.

In the software interface, go to "Tables/Substances" and select "Water".

  1. Hi Andy,

I was an EMC test engineer (4 yrs.) and then an EMC design engineer for Cisco Systems in San Jose, CA for 18.5 yrs. and I retired in 2011. I now would like to come out of retirement and I think that I would like to work again in EMC testing. Do you have training that would allow me to apply for EMC testing positions? I am not affiliated with any company. Specifically, I am interested in the cost of any potential training for someone who is not affiliated with any company.

    Regards,

    John Hess

  2. This has been a great resource for me as a new EMC Test Engineer, and I’m sure that I will continue to come back to it. Thank you!
