While you can technically inject RTGI into almost any 3D application, certain types of games benefit exponentially from its architectural design:

: Simulates multiple light bounces, allowing color from a bright floor to reflect onto a wall, and then onto the ceiling.

Better optimization for screen-space calculations.

: Instead of light just hitting a floor and stopping, RTGI allows that light to reflect back up onto the ceiling and walls, filling shadows with color and warmth.

While impressive, RTGI 0.33 is not magic; it has inherent limitations due to being a screen-space effect.

RTGI (Ray Traced Global Illumination) 0.33 shader, developed by Marty McFly (Pascal Gilcher)

Controls how much data from previous frames is kept to smooth out the image. If you notice a trail of shadow following your character when you run, lower this setting to reduce ghosting. Performance Optimization Tips

If your depth buffer is incorrectly configured, RTGI will appear completely broken, either blinding your screen or showing no effect. Navigate to the tab in ReShade.

It requires a game with a stable depth buffer (usually disabled in online games to prevent cheating).
