Torchlight 2 Build Calculator
Look for passive skills that amplify your core action. If your main skill deals fire damage, maximize the passives that reward fire application.
Embermages are traditional elemental spellcasters commanding fire, ice, and lightning.
When using a build calculator, distribute your attribute points based on these core mechanics: Torchlight 2 Build Calculator
The calculator shows a godly level 100 build. But you have to survive levels 1-99. If your build relies on a Tier-3 passive that unlocks at level 42, you will struggle in Act I. Always use the calculator to plan a "low-level route" (e.g., what skills do I take by level 25?).
Modern calculators include synergy modifiers. For example, the Embermage’s Prismatic Bolt deals 70% weapon DPS. The calculator checks: Do you have 5 points in Brand ? Yes? Then Prismatic Bolt now does an additional 30% damage as fire. You can't see this synergy easily in the game's quick tooltip, but the calculator aggregates it into a final "Effective DPS" number. Build Calculator is an exploration of "what if?" The game provides four distinct classes—Engineer, Outlander, Embermage, and Berserker—each with 30 unique skills divided into three specialized trees. With a level cap of 100 and a finite 132 skill points (including fame levels), the calculator forces a philosophy of sacrifice. You cannot have everything; to master the Engineer's "Emberquake" is to potentially forgo the "Healing Bot" that sustains your mana.
Increases your maximum Mana pool and boosts elemental damage. Crucial for Embermages, but also vital for Outlanders or Engineers using elemental skills or dual-wielding matching weapons (to increase "Execute" chance).
: Max out Prismatic Bolt along with Fire Brand , Ice Brand , and Lightning Brand . This build triggers massive elemental explosions by hitting enemies with all elements simultaneously.
See how investing your 495 attribute points into Strength, Dexterity, Focus, and Vitality changes your weapon damage, critical strike chance, and execute rates.
